Gian Jyoti Global School, Phase-2, Mohali in association with Saanjh Kendar, City-1, Mohali organized a Workshop on Drug De-Addiction, Child Abuse, & Women Safety at its campus in Phase-2, Mohali. Mr. Amroz Singh, PPS, D.S.P., City-1 cum District Community Officer (DCPO), Mohali was the Chief Guest and Key Note Speaker on the occasion. Mrs. Ranjeet Bedi, Principal, Gian Jyoti Global School presided over the event and welcomed the chief Guest and other dignatries including Mr. Shamsher Singh & Ms. Rama Tandon.
Mr. Amroz Singh, PPS, D.S.P., City-1 cum District Community Officer (DCPO), Mohali shared his thoughts and experiences with students about the problems being faced by the drug addicts and the consequent detrimental effect on health. He also shared some of the real stories from drug de-addiction center. He talked about the conscious efforts by each family, such as involving in positive conversations with children and engaging with their peer groups can play a crucial role towards curbing this menace.
Mr. Singh also shared the information about Sanjh Kendars, which are open for public and anyone can report any incident over there without the help of local Police. He further told that there is also an app by the name of PP Sanjh which is available on google play store and we can use that app for our personal safety and security, Mr. Singh added.
Mrs. Ranjeet Bedi, Principal, Gian Jyoti Global School thanked Mr. Amroz Singh, PPS, D.S.P., City-1 cum District Community Officer (DCPO), Mohali and his team for making students aware about the consequences of drug abuse and advising the students to never try drugs out of curiosity or to improve athletic performance or ease another problem such as stress, anxiety or depression.
